JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTING
DESIGNED, HAND CARVED, HAND PRINTED
BY BARBARA WYBOU

Barbara Wybou lived in Japan and studied at the Tokyo studio of Toshi Yoshida, renowned Japanese Woodblock Printmaker (1911-1995).
All prints are made using the traditional Japanese technique of brushing watercolour pigment on to carved wood, and then printing by hand with a baren (a flat round handheld printing tool).
