Blue Goat 2015 is a 2 block reduction print and was printed in about 25 stages. The first (blue) block was reduced four times after the initial printing--first the whole goat was printed blue except for eyes and the centre of the beard, then the block was carved away a bit and printed again, then carved away more and printed, until it was reduced to a line block only. The second block was used to print the yellow/orange eyes, the yellow in the horns and beard and the ears. As a result of all the layers of applied thin pigment the grain shows up very well.
The colour is water based pigment.
The print comes mounted in 8 x 10 conservation mat.
