"Ram" is an edition of 75 prints plus 7 AP's (artist proofs are the first prints made, upon which the edition is based). The edition has sold out but there are still a few of the AP's left.
The horns and wool are embossed, giving the print a 3D appearance.
The red snake at the bottom of the image is the artist's initial "BW' in snake ( the artist was born in the year of the snake).
The ram in the combo series is similar to this handsome fellow, but not as complex.
It is made from sumi ink and water based pigment brushed on to two hand carved blocks (black and red). The embossing is done with an embossing tool after the print has been printed and dried.
The print comes mounted in 8 x 10 conservation mat.
