The sun is spreading down from the top of the frame blending with the ram's wool. The horns and wool are embossed, giving the print a 3D appearance. The embossing is done with an embossing tool after the print has been printed and dried.
The red snake at the bottom of the image is the artist's initial "BW' in snake (the artist was born in the year of the snake).
It is made from layers of sumi ink and water based pigment brushed on to two hand carved basswood blocks (black, red initial).The print comes mounted in 8 x 10 conservation mat.
