"Rooster 2" is an edition of 50 prints, plus 5 AP's. It is made from 3 blocks: the leftover (reduced) block from "Rooster" (colour version), the yellow/orange/red block and the initial block. The white in the rooster's body is not printed but painted with gouache.
The body of the rooster is embossed. The embossing is done with an embossing tool after the print has been printed and dried.
The red snake at the bottom of the image is the artist's initial "BW' in snake (the artist was born in the year of the snake).
It is made from layers of sumi ink and water based pigment brushed on to three hand carved basswood blocks (black, dark grey, light grey/red).
The print comes mounted in 8 x 10 conservation mat.
