"Rooster" is an edition of 75 prints, plus 7 AP's. It is made from 2 blocks. One block was reduced--the yellow and blue background was printed first and then it was carved down to become the black line block. The white in the rooster's body is not printed but painted with gouache.
The red snake at the bottom of the image is the artist's initial "BW' in snake ( the artist was born in the year of the snake).
The colour is sumi ink, water based pigment and white gouache. The embossing is done with an embossing tool after the print has been printed and dried.
The print comes mounted in 8 x 10 conservation mat.
